Apple Crumble – GF
The easiest of all recipes, our ‘don’t grumble crumble’ is a joy to prepare and a delight to eat.
- 3 large organic Bramley apples
- 2 tbsp SugaVida
- 175g organic plain flour or gluten free flour
- Pinch of sea salt (ideally Halen-Mon)
- 3 tbsp SugaVida
- 100g organic rolled oats or gluten free oats
- 120g organic butter
Peel the skins off the apples and slice. Put in an oven dish, add the SugaVida and rub into your apples (for that little touch of extra yumminess, add some fresh vanilla pods). Leave apples in the dish.
For the topping: Put the flour organic plain flour or gluten free flour in a bowl, add a pinch of sea salt, SugaVida, organic rolled oats or gluten free oats and combine with your fingers.
Add cold butter (grated or chopped up) and rub it in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Pile your topping on to the apples spreading it equally and put into a pre-heated oven 180⁰C fan/200⁰C conventional for 40 minutes. Take it out, leave to cool for 10 minutes and enjoy with a generous dollop of clotted cream and a proper cup of tea!
